This May Be It

I've been contracting since 8am. At first I thought it was colon issues and a good sit in the bathroom would cure it. Sounded smart but not it.

I had my ultrasound this morning too. Beaner's puddle has gotten smaller. Poor guy. My cervix is either thin or thick depending on what side you looked. His head was right down there.

The contractions continued after I got back. Some bleeding kicked up. I was miserable. My belly is tender. I swear boy is trying to play peek a boo out of my asshole.

*breath breath*

Doc came and checked on me. He increased the magnesium and I've been in a stupor all afternoon. Blood work was checked too. No signs of infection so that is promising. The contractions and bleeding continue through the mag.

I just went through the birth plan with my very pregnant nurse. The nicu has been notified. Everyone is on pins and needles. We're all waiting for doc to call the ball.

I'm supposed to be trying to nap. The contractions and pressure are making it hard. I'm getting kinda hungry too. I was too drugged for lunch. I should put the phone down.

I also shouldn't have taken that ride last night.  I swear that trip.around campus juggled too much.

Well I was just told my contractions are getting more frequent again.  Pray for us.

Prayers headed your way. Our son was born at 28 weeks 13 years ago, so IF you do end up with an early bird delivery - feel free to email me with any questions you have. At this point, it's important to think, "Is he safer outside than inside?" Tough call, but the NICU is a wonderful place for the early ones, if that is needed in your case. I will continue to send good vibes. If you want to talk in person, email me and I'll give you my phone number.

Sounds like you had a Boy.
Congratulations. Hoping the best for you both.
Oh, and ALFRO isn't really that bad of a name, if your looking for suggestions.
